A washing and sweeping vehicle, fully known as a suction-type sewage recycling vehicle, is a high-tech, high-efficiency specialized sanitation vehicle that integrates road sweeping, high-pressure washing, garbage recovery, and transportation. Unlike traditional pure-sweeping road sweepers or pure-flushing water trucks, its core design philosophy is "flush first, then sweep, combine sweeping and suction, and recycle sewage." It aims to achieve deep cleaning of road surfaces and effectively control secondary dust pollution during operation.
From a design principle perspective, a washing and sweeping vehicle is a complex system integration. It typically consists of a truck chassis, an auxiliary engine (for driving the dedicated fan), a high-pressure water pump system, a clean water tank, a sewage tank, side brushes and/or a horizontal roller brush, a suction inlet (or mouth), a filtration system, and sophisticated hydraulic and electronic control systems. Its operational objective is not only to remove large visible debris from the road surface, such as paper scraps, leaves, bottles, and cans, but more importantly, to remove fine particulate matter, dust, and sticky stains adhered to the pavement. These fine pollutants are a primary source of urban dust, posing a continuous threat to air quality and public health. By using the impact force of high-pressure water jets, the washing and sweeping vehicle dislodges these compacted particles from the road surface, and then immediately uses powerful negative pressure suction to recover them along with the water flow into the sewage tank. The entire operation process is nearly dust-free. This "clean-in-one-pass" model makes it a key piece of equipment for modern urban refined cleaning and dust pollution control. Its application has significantly improved the cleaning efficiency and effectiveness for high-standard areas such as urban arterial roads, highways, public squares, and airport runways, representing the mainstream direction of road cleaning technology development.
