How does a compression garbage truck compress garbage?

Sep 18, 2025

The compression garbage truck uses a hydraulic system to power its mechanical components. The process begins when garbage is loaded into the filling hopper. Any large pieces of material are initially broken down and reduced in volume by a pre-compression mechanism. The garbage then enters the sealed compartment, where a main compression plate applies high pressure to force out air and leachate. The leachate is channeled into a collection tank through a guide groove in the bottom. Finally, the garbage is densely compacted within the compartment. The entire process is automated, which greatly reduces the volume of the waste, prevents secondary pollution from leaking leachate, and improves transportation efficiency.
